Just a last-minute note about PS #18 (the one due Wednesday): Two things: there are two sides to the page. Also, please write a quick definition of "The Market for Lemons." . . . See you tomorrow.

OK, you all have been very patient with papers and answer keys and whatnot. I have decided to post the answer keys on the classnet site (see link to the left), which may make them easier to access, especially if you want to print them out. I set up a category for them and started uploading them and then the program stopped letting me. So as soon as this kink is worked out, the rest of the answer keys will be up, including the answer key to the first exam. Also, I posted a link to a website on social capital that Prof. Kleiman found. It is pretty comprehensive and may answer some lingering, burning questions you may have about social capital. Also, I will have papers back tomorrow from problem set #15.

Dear Karolina,

Did you advise us not to answer #4 on the problem set due tomorrow? It
asks us to define "tipping point." Further, in question #3, is the
information in the Schelling reading on social contracts sufficient for
answering? Was there more information on groups on the Gladwell reading?

answer:
you should be able to answer the groups question with the schelling reading, the social contract stuff should be enough. as for the tipping point, i thought that was defined in the schelling reading. if not, again don't worry about it and you'll know it when you read the gladwell piece as soon as it is distributed.
